Australian PvPer Looking For Guidance

I have always been a pretty competitive PvPer, and while I'm not exactly aiming for top tier, I'd still like to play this game competitively. I've done it in other more ping dependent games like Tera, so I am hoping it can be done here. Resilient Aussie gamers have learnt to play around 0.2 second delay like it's second nature, and I know min-max elitists will say it's impossible to PvP, but my life experience in gaming ensures me that it is not.

My issue is, I don't want to play a caster. I know they are less ping dependent but they are not my style (and I know that SMs are frowned upon for ezmode). I played this game when I was much younger and was part of many community tournaments as a Chanter, but this was before I even thought to consider ping so it never affected me and I just got used to it.

My internet is typically stable, and in game I get around 185-195ms during the day and 220ms during aussie peak hours (rarely spikes unless it's netflix o'clock). I haven't had any issues with 2,3 or 4 skill combos and my muscle memory for weaving has returned from my younger days (still practicing jump weaving, etc so I can fight moving targets).

I am mainly interested your help regarding 1v1 aspects of PvP (my sick addiction), for when I am not playing with a friend. I don't really need any guidance for group pvp as my friend and I will have loads of fun regardless of what classes we play for group stuff.

I am interested in the following classes and would like to know how they fair in 1v1 scenarios in the current patch, ways I can play them to combat ping (basically how essential weaving is for effective kills), defensive/offensive benefits, anything else you can think of:
- AetherTech
- Templar
- Gladiator
- Chanter
- Gunner

I would greatly appreciate your help!

Fire Gleeful Ladder replied to xform and flight time

Greetings, Daeva, We understand your frustration and appreciate you reaching out to the community for help. Not receiving a verification email is a common issue that many players have encountered across various games. We’ve checked the forums and have a few potential fixes you can try. Hopefully, one of these will help you get into the game!

Possible Fixes for Verification Email Issue

Check Your Email Folders: This may seem obvious, but it's the most common solution. Please check your spam, junk, and other filtered folders. Sometimes, a legitimate email can be mistakenly flagged and sent there. Add Aion to Your Whitelist: To prevent future emails from being blocked, add the official Aion email address (often something like `noreply@aiononline.com` or an equivalent from NCSoft/Gameforge) to your email account's contact list or whitelist. This tells your email provider that you trust the sender. Try a Different Email Provider: Some email providers, particularly those like Hotmail, Outlook, or Live, are known to be overly aggressive with their spam filters. If you used one of these, consider creating a new account with a different provider, such as Gmail, and try the registration process again. Many players report better success with services like Gmail. Wait for the Email: Depending on server load and other factors, there can sometimes be a significant delay in receiving the verification email. In some cases, it may take several hours or even a full day to arrive. If you've just created your account, we recommend waiting a while longer before assuming it's a bug. Contact Aion Support Directly: If none of the above steps work, the best course of action is to contact the official Aion support team. They have the tools to manually verify your account or provide a direct solution. You can typically find a link to their support portal on the official game website. They will likely ask for your account name and the email address you used. We hope this information helps, and we look forward to seeing you in Atreia soon! Feel free to update us if you find a solution that works for you, as it may help other players with the same problem. Best regards, The Forum Moderator Team
